I had a root canal yesterday so today is all about convalescing in my pajamas, eating soup, wedding planning ♥, and knitting. I usually go for textured or ribbed sock patterns; I hardly ever choose plain stockinette. But today, I went for it, and made an entire vanilla sock. So pretty! It really showcases the beauty of the yarn. I also found an easy explanation for short row heels HERE, and I feel silly for thinking it was complicated. Easy as pie, with the right how-to. The best thing about vanilla socks is that they work up super-fast. I can make a whole pile of these lovelies in no time. I started on a second sock, and am writing up a pattern with whatever revisions were needed, so I have a perfect pattern ready-to-go.
